HARDSELL at IdeaCity and on film!

Big news for HARDSELL:  besides receiving funding for a short film, Rick Miller will perform excerpts from the play at Moses Znaimer's prestigious IdeaCity 2011 conference on Friday, June 17th.  The Rick Miller/Daniel Brooks play is also being completely reworked for a remount at the Factory Theatre in Oct 2011.

Once upon a time, Rick's old friends Jerome Sable and Eli Batalion wrote a horror-musical and asked him to play Stumpy Sam, the evil swamp monster who scares campers and kills Sean Cullen. Rick said yes. Lots of latex and screaming ensued...

Returning for a second year, Rick Miller joins Selina Martin, Dave Bidini and many more Canadian Indie artists in Mia Sheard's annual XMAS SHOW, at the Rivoli in Toronto, Dec 18, 2009.  Proceeds go to the Daily Bread Food Bank and flood relief in Pakistan via The Red Cross.

And the Gemini award for Best Individual or Ensemble Performance in an Animated Program or Series goes to:  Rick Miller and his fellow Atomic Betty cast mates!  The 24th Annual Gemini Awards, recognizing the year's best in Canadian English-language television, took place on October 20th, 2009.  This is Rick's first nomination and first win.
